The COX LawnMaster Scarifier attaches to current LawnMaster cylinder mowers via the cassette system, adding active scarification to the same platform used for regular cutting. Available in 17" and 20" cassette sizes.

Scarification goes deeper than dethatching. Where a dethatcher removes surface-level organic buildup, scarifier blades penetrate into the thatch layer and the uppermost soil, cutting through lateral runners, moss and compacted debris. The result is more thorough renovation of a lawn's surface, encouraging thicker regrowth and improving the turf's capacity to absorb water and nutrients.

It is most effectively used in spring or autumn when the grass has capacity to recover quickly. Scarification is a core part of professional turf management practice, and the LawnMaster system makes it accessible without requiring a separate machine.
