The COX LawnMaster Dethatcher attaches to current LawnMaster cylinder mowers via the cassette system, adding active thatch removal to the same machine used for regular mowing. Available in 17" and 20" cassette sizes to match the mower, it integrates without the need for a separate machine or manual raking.

Thatch is the layer of dead organic matter that builds up between the grass and the soil surface. Left unchecked, it blocks water, nutrients and oxygen from reaching the root zone, leading to patchy growth, increased disease susceptibility and reduced lawn density. Regular dethatching - typically in spring or autumn - removes this buildup and allows the turf to recover and thicken.
